Missions

Dear Friends of Missions,

God has entrusted us with His message – a message of hope for a world that has no hope. John wrote in his gospel, Chapter 3, beginning with verse sixteen, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.”

And Matthew records the words of Jesus in his gospel, Chapter 28, beginning with verse 18, “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Jesus commanded and commissioned us to reach out to all people with the gospel. Why? Because it is the very heart of  God - “For God so loved the world.” And God knew that the world would be saved through the message of His great love. We have a great message and a great hope and we are responsible to share it with all who need to hear it.

Your actively participating in the missions program of GT helps us to acknowledge that we, as a church, are responding in a real and tangible way to the great commission of Jesus Christ. Indeed, we are to go to “all the nations” and we are to share the good news of the gospel, and we are to share the love of Jesus with all people, of every tribe and every nation. Thank you for your involvement and thank you for your commitment to the missions program at GT!

Hopefully this missionary directory will acquaint you with the Godly men and women that we support and will encourage you to pray for them often. They cherish our prayers. As you pray for missionaries you are partnering with them in power. Thank you for your active involvement in missions. May the Lord bless you in special ways as you live to serve Him!
