Baby Dedication
CONGRATULATIONS!
We are so glad that you are interested in participating with us in our Baby Dedication. You have been entrusted with the precious gift of new life, and we look forward to partnering with you as you embark on this parenting journey. We hope the Baby Dedication Celebration will be a memorable occasion for you and your family.
We invite you to complete the following steps to prepare for Baby Dedication.

STEP 1) ATTEND A PARENT ORIENTATION
You will attend a 1 hour Parent Orientation. This is an important first step in the process because we want to inspire you to invest in the things that will matter the most to your child’s future. We want to help you get off to a great start as you parent your new baby.
This is an opportunity for you to take some time at the beginning of your journey as a parent to really think about what will matter the most in the life of your child; to really talk together and decide what you value and what you can do today that will have the greatest impact on your child's future.
At this orientation, we will share important information about our preschool environment and give you a behind the scenes look. We will also share the “need to knows” about our Baby Dedication.
Unless you are a single parent, it is important that both parents attend this orientation. You must attend the orientation before your Baby Dedication date is confirmed.
Our next orientation is scheduled for Sunday, September 26th at 1:00 p.m. in the KidZone Nursery.
STEP 2) LET’S CELEBRATE!
Once you have completed STEP 1, we would love for you and your family and friends to participate with us in a time of DEDICATION and CELEBRATION.
Our next Baby Dedication is scheduled for Sunday, October 24th immediately following the 11 a.m. service (approx. 12:30 p.m.).
Baby DEDICATION is about a commitment to put God first in your home and to trust in Him as your source of direction as you lead your family and parent your child. It is also a time for you and your spouse to share with your closest friends and family what is most important to you and to ask them for their prayer and support.
It is also a time of CELEBRATION! We want to help you create an unforgettable memory of the promise that you've made to lead your child in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. You will be the greatest influence in your child’s life. As your church, we want to be your biggest fan and trusted guide. We look forward to celebrating this special day with you.

REQUIREMENTS:
Your child must be under two years of age to participate in the Baby Dedication Celebration.
In order to participate in the Baby Dedication, we ask that you be a follower of Jesus Christ and be an active attendee of GT for at least 6 consecutive months.
Unless you are a single parent, it is important that both parents attend the parent orientation. You must attend the orientation before your Baby Dedication date is confirmed.
Married couples and single parents are welcome to participate. However, unmarried parents who are living together are encouraged to work on honoring God with their marriage commitment before making this public dedication to live
according to God’s word.
This event is not infant baptism. We believe that when people are old enough to understand what it means to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, they should have the opportunity to make that choice for themselves. An infant is not able to understand sin, forgiveness, the sacrifice our Savior made for us, and what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
This event is about celebrating your commitment as a parent to lead your child into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, so that as they get older, you are able to guide them and to help them understand what it means to live out an everyday faith.
