Associate Pastor

As the Associate Pastor at GT Church, you will encourage and equip the adults of GT Church by connecting them to authentic, biblical community where they can experience spiritual growth, accountability, and care. This role is tasked with developing replicable processes and recruiting and building teams that will enable others to take the next step on their faith journey. We are looking for someone who is a relatable communicator, a proven and energetic team-builder, process-oriented, strategically minded, and passionate about discipleship and life change.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, equip, and care for volunteer teams and leaders
  • Raise up coach level leaders to assist in leading and caring for volunteers serving in your areas of ministry
  • Create and oversee a strategy that connects and engages married couples to the life of the church, including 1-2 marriage events per year
  • Provide oversight to GT’s mentoring ministries including spiritual, financial and marriage mentoring
  • Plan and coordinate strategic men’s events (2x per year)
  • Collaborate with the Life Groups Pastor to multiply existing young adult small groups, and to identify and develop new group leaders.
  • Plan, coordinate volunteers, and execute special events for young adults (approximately 4x a year)
  • Provide leadership to all GT adult water baptism services
  • Provide general pastoral care including pre-marital counseling, marriage ceremonies, and general pastoral appointments
  • Work with the Discipleship Team to help coordinate and execute church-wide connection events (ie GroupLink, mens/womens events, etc)
  • Provide oversight to the benevolence process and lead volunteer financial mentors

Qualifications

  • Dynamic and proven team-builder who is passionate about recruiting and training volunteer leaders
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • A clear calling into full time ministry with a passion for discipleship
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid work ethic and ability to self-motivate, effectively prioritize, and multi-task
  • Team-player with the ability to create systems/standard operating procedures
  • Church credential holder or seeking credentialing
  • Believes, supports, and teaches the 16 Fundamental Truths of the AG
  • Past experience in adult coaching ministries or marriage ministries is a plus
