Missions Pastor

The role of the Missions Pastor is to provide leadership to the local and global missions ministries of GT Church. This position is responsible for the development of long-range plans, goals and strategies that are to be implemented through a team of volunteers the pastor will recruit and develop.


  • Provide oversight and direction for local and global missions at GT Church, maintaining priority on the Great Commission
  • Provide oversight and coordinate all GT Global Trips (10-12 per year)
  • Liase with all supported boots on the ground missionaries including disseminating prayer requests, newsletters, etc.
  • Serve as the point person for missionary / local outreach support requests
  • Recruit and develop missions volunteers, including coach-level & coordinator-level leaders
  • Provide general pastoral care as requested: coaching, walk-ins, hospital visits, pastor on-call, etc
  • Serve as the point person for anyone looking to connect to a global or local team
  • Host / coordinate travel arrangements for guest missionary speakers


  • Proven team-builder who is passionate about recruiting and training volunteer leaders
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • A clear calling into full time ministry with a passion for missions
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid work ethic and ability to self-motivate, effectively prioritize, and multi-task
  • Team-player with the ability to create systems/standard operating procedures
  • Church credential holder or seeking credentialing
  • Believes, supports, and teaches the 16 Fundamental Truths of the AG
  • Past experience in adult coaching ministries or marriage ministries is a plus
