GT Kids Elementary Coordinator

The GT Kids Elementary Coordinator is tasked with recruiting and equipping volunteers to help kids (K-3rd) develop an authentic relationship with Jesus by implementing programming, leadership development, and team building. This part-time role (20-25 hours per week) will facilitate the relational connection and spiritual growth of kids through weekend programs, environments, and special events.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit volunteers by casting vision, sharing wins and stirring excitement that shows them how much of a difference they can make in the life of a child
  • Develop coaches to assist in the caring for and training of volunteers to expand your capacity
  • Equip volunteers with common language, discipleship, encouragement, and training so they can help kids connect in relationship with Jesus as they find their place in God’s Big Story
  • Develop volunteers by coaching, training, building relationships with, and empowering leaders to grow in their leadership
  • Prep and implement small group and large group programming in GT Kids on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday Nights for elementary-aged kids (K-3rd)
  • Prep elementary programming supplies for multi-sites
  • Create a safe place by ensuring that volunteers are trained in the GT Kids Safety protocols
  • Provide 2nd service care for kids (K-3rd) for parents that serve
  • Partner with parents through relationships and resources to equip and empower them to be the spiritual leader in their home
  • Recruit volunteers and implement provided plan for Community Outreaches (Family Events, Christmas, & Easter)

Qualifications

  • Experience in building, developing and leading successful volunteer teams
  • Previous experience serving or leading in kids ministry or a similar environment
  • Experience in public speaking and ability to coach others in public speaking / storytelling
  • Displays a positive, fun, and energetic attitude that supports the vision and values of kids ministry at GT church
  • Strong organizational management skills and the ability to lead with excellence
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability for weekly Sunday morning hours, weekly Wednesday evening hours, and occasional special services/events based on ministry demand
